50 new scientists sought after in the field of biomedical research The Howard Hughes Medical Institute is seeking as much as 50 new scientists in neuro-scientific biomedical analysis through a national competition announced today. The Institute wants candidates from the entire selection of biological and biomedical inquiry who demonstrate extraordinary promise early within their professions as independent researchers cognitive enhancers . Nearly 200 universities, medical schools, and study institutes have been invited to nominate their finest scientists for your competition. Between 30 and 50 scientists will be chosen to become listed on the Institute in 2005.
